This coffee is ideal for making ristretto and espresso. Blaser Java Katakan coffee is a single-origin, washed Robusta coffee, evaluated according to the most stringent quality criteria at the state-owned PTPN XII enterprise on the island of Java. Thanks to the wet processing method, this variety is characterized by a very rich, yet smooth flavor and a rich palette of aromas. These beans are classified as Specialty beans, making them virtually the only Robusta coffees that meet these quality standards.
Aroma
The aromas of nuts, sesame, malt, and licorice are clearly noticeable. The earthy aroma is less noticeable, along with a delicate cognac aroma. Compared to other Robusta varieties, this coffee has a rich, robust, and powerful flavor.
